Homespun Farm's Pet's Page

Our new addition- Maggie May Baggins. English Springer Spaniel .

It has only taken 4 monthes to get them all in the same bed!

Here is Herbee-

sweetest dog ever

Not to be left out of course is Whimsey. She is 7 years old and the queen of the house!

If you would like to bring your pet to Homespun Farm here are our rules (these pertain to dogs but we can go over rules for other pets, please call). We only allow one guest at a time to have a pet with us.

We are flexible about crating,(we have one to borrow while you are here) but only after you arrive and we can all see how your pet adjusts to it's new surroundings. Otherwise if you do not have a crate, you must have your pet with you when you leave the house if the innkeeper is not comfortable with your pet being left alone. Please call for more information.

Here are our Pet Rules while visiting Homespun Farm-

Pets are as welcome here as the Human guests. We charge a $15 per day fee to help cover the cost of extra clean up in the room to assure our other guests who may be allergic do not have problems. (washing curtains and so on) We do expect the owners of the visiting pet to clean up after their pet outside and PLEASE let us know if there has been an accident inside. It only makes it worse if hidden and all damages will be charged to your credit card. So please let's keep it nice for everyone!

While in your room- Never permit your pet to sleep on beds, chairs, or bedspreads. We ask that you bring your pet’s own bedding while at Homespun Farm. Place your pet's food and water bowls on a mat or feed them outside. If you forget bedding or bowls, just ask, we have extras. PLEASE do not use our pillows for your pet to lie on.

Leaving your room- Avoid leaving your pet alone in the room. If you must do so, inform the innkeeper, turn on your radio or television to keep your pet entertained, and make sure your pet is securely crated to avoid scratching on the 266 year old doors....or the startled pet escaping through an open door when the housekeeper enters or, worse, attacking the housekeeper.

Public areas- Always keep your pet leashed.(front yard is fenced you know if your pet will jump the fence better than us so it is at your own risk to have them off leash)  Never take your pet into a dining area. Feel free to walk your pet in our fenced yard or out in the orchard and always clean up after your pet. Poop scoop and bags are provided, the green can is over by the raised garden bed near the guest’s entrance, leave “poopie bag” in can after pick up or take them over to the regular trash cans that can be found in the white covered area near the parking.

During your stay- Wipe off muddy or dirty paws before your pet enters the room/house. We have extra rag towels if needed. If your pet should damage property, PLEASE report it immediately.

We do have two small dogs in residence and ask that all visitors respect them.
