This room was named for the apple orchard that was such a large part of the farm (there are a dozen trees left that we love dearly!).
The Orchard room is a large, comfortable, south-east facing, sunny room. The floor was hand stenciled by Kate, the headboard for the bed is made from a fireplace mantel that was given to us by a prior guest.

There is a flowing apple motif that is stenciled
all around the room's border. If you look closely once you are
snuggled under those luxurious linens, you may see an apple blossom
or two painted to look as if they have fallen down to the lower
walls.
The room is decorated with period antiques, but also has a color tv (Direct TV Satellite) for your enjoyment. The room now has a fireplace nestled in the corner to warm you during those chilly winter months, and there is air conditioning for the summer months.
The well appointed large private bath has period lighting and a terrific colonial feel. It is filled with amenities such as shampoo, aroma therapy soaps, a hair drier, make-up light, and of course fluffy towels and bathrobes to snuggle in.
The large living room is off the dining area for our guest's enjoyment . The view out the windows of River Ridge Golf course and the lovely sunsets are always a joy.

breakfast of blueberry muffins, fresh fruit, home made jams, breads,
and the specialty of the day, awaits you every morning in the candle
lit keeping room .
